In an interview with New Scientist, Cobrasmith actor David Dobson was asked about the movie Cobra Speak Here, which tells the story of Cobra, a hero who has appeared in the comics for years and who recently came out of retirement.
“I think it’s funny, it’s just like a joke, you know?
I mean, he’s just been a great guy for so long, he was really good to the kids,” Dobson said.”
He’s a good guy who’s going to get out of the way, he just likes to be there.
I think he’ll be a little bit of a joke.”
Dobson added that while he was aware that the movie was about the Cobras, he had not seen it yet.
“Yeah, it was a little rough around the edges, and I think they’re actually good guys.
I’m a big fan of them, I’m just really excited about it.”
Dobsson also revealed that he was in the midst of filming Cobra Super Hero Costume in Australia, which he had hoped to shoot before the movie came out in the US.
“We’re shooting in Australia right now and that’s where the Cobra costumes are being shot, so that’s when we’ll be able to see them in person, we’re hoping that it’ll be out in Australia before the end of the year,” Dobsson said in the interview.
“So it’ll probably be in February or March of next year, but it’ll definitely be out soon.
